A death knell
Foretold
In your heart
Rings with a darkness
That years reveal
True true true.
You threaten yourself
Every night
Every morning
With suicide
So it becomes warm
And safe
It makes walking towards
Destiny
Acceptable. It makes drinking
All night every night
Sensible, because
You are already dead:
Why you drink every night
Why you want to die.
Wanting to drink and die
Is not normal.
(I don't drink enough)
I live and have an important job.
(I live and I don't write anymore)
I can put two bottles down
Every night like nothing.
Not dying. Outperforming.
Not fucking anything up.
(Fuck).
